  • ILSLEY, Philip

  • INGELS, Frank Lee (1886 – 1957)
    Architect, painter, and sculptor who studied at the AIC. (Exh. with the CAC in 1922) (H)
  • ITO, Michio
    Member, famous Japanese dancer. (B)
  • IWASIUK, Vladimir
    Artist Member, lived in Santa Monica and Santa Paula, and was also a doctor. (Jan. 1978 letter)
  • IZANT, Clarence Stephen (1884 – 1949)
    Active Member. He cast the orginal Academy Award “Oscar” before establishing his own metal manufacturing company in 1939. His company produced the Hancock Memorial at USC and steel and glass fountain at the Santa Anita Race Track and the bronze work in the L.A. Times building, among others. Izant transferred safekeeping of the CAC’s William Wendt painting to Edward Chiapella before Izant became sick and passed away on April 20, 1949. (Exh. with the CAC in 1940) (H) (B, Apr., May 1949)
