The Signs of Spring is a virtual exhibition and sale of the finest contemporary-traditional paintings and sculptures that interpret the theme utilizing classical skills.

Spring brings about the connotations of death and rebirth. The featured works could explore anything from budding trees, to rainy landscapes, to blooms of California Wildflowers or a host of golden daffodils, to figures enjoying a picnic at the park or taking a bike ride, to signs of new life (human or wildlife) or anything symbolizing new beginnings and transformation.

Sculptures could explore the resurrection motif popularly associated with spring, to flora or fauna.

The guest judge for this competition is Mary Platt, Director of the Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University.

The exhibition will unveil online on March 20, 2024.
