    Collectors Preview & Artists Reception for the 113th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition

    Sunday, August 18 at 3:00 pm

    Art enthusiasts will meet the exhibiting artists at this preview for the California Art Club’s 113th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition and be among the first to view the paintings and sculptures selected for this much-anticipated display.

  • Defining Excellence: Artwork by Historical Members of CAC – Lecture with Jean Stern

    Saturday, August 24 at 2:00 pm

    Art historian Jean Stern will discuss the rich legacy of the California art inspired by the early members of the California Art Club. His fully illustrated talk will focus on exploring works created by historical members, including artists in the Hilbert Museum’s permanent collection.

  • "Artists in the Gallery" Meet and Greets

    Every Saturday during the exhibition at 11 a.m.

    Every Saturday morning during the 113th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, Gold Medal artists will be in the exhibition gallery to provide insights on their works and answer questions.

  • Gold Medal Closing Day Paint/Sculpt-Out

    Saturday, October 26, 10:00 am

    To mark the closing of the 113th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, a Paint/Sculpt-Out will be presented in Old Towne Orange, near the Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University, allowing art enthusiasts to watch CAC artists create new works of vignettes inspired by the historic district that surrounds the musuem.
