Congratulations to the Inland Empire Chapter CAC Featured Artist for July, J.J. Dougan!
From the artist:
The painting, “Out and About in Randsburg” (12 x 16, watercolor on hot-press paper) is from a scene I photographed during a visit to the old mining town of Randsburg, California. The town is just off the 395 on the way north to Bishop. It is a fascinating old town with lots of subject matter for artists or photographers. While this is a studio piece, I would love to do some plein air there someday when I go up to visit my sister in Ridgecrest.
