The Central Coast Chapter is hosting their last paint out of 2022 at the San Luis Obispo Train Station on Saturday, December 10th, from 10am to 2pm. A small Christmas celebration will follow as artists wrap up painting.

Features

Besides the active train station, an old water tower from the days of steam provides another interesting subject to paint. The San Luis Obispo station also features a Railroad museum with old narrow gauge cars from the former Pacific Coast Railway. The train station ran from Los Olivos, which was originally served by stagecoach until 1906, to San Luis Bay where it interchanged with schooners to San Francisco. San Luis Obispo was the primary means of getting from the south coast of California to San Francisco before the standard gauge railroad was completed circa 1906.
