The Santa Ysabel Open Space Preserve West is a mostly flat area with a trail leading through clusters of oaks and rock formations about a 5 minute walk from parking lot. Portable restrooms are in parking lot.

*Note: The Santa Ysabel preserves usually stay closed for 3 days after heavy rains. If the site is closed on March 26, we will meet up and paint at an alternate location about one mile away. Behind the Julian Pie Company, in the little town of Santa Ysabel, there is a large gravel parking lot which offers nice views of the surrounding hills.
