San Gabriel/Pomona Valley Paint/Sculpt Out – Painting Horses at the Rodeo Grounds

Join us for a paint/sculpt out in the San Dimas Rodeo grounds, Tex Shoemaker Arena, with a variety of horses and riders/trainers/owners. Since we will be working from live horses/trainers/riders/owners in action, we cannot control their movements. Please feel free to take photographs and videos in addition to making quick studies, or simply enjoy the environment and then maybe head out to work en plain air on site in beautiful Horsethief Canyon. The rodeo arena is surrounded by the San Gabriel Mountains and the Experimental Forest. There are a variety of views, including a view of Mount Baldy if you are up for a short hike. We are excited to have you join us.

Parking:              Tex Shoemaker Rodeo Arena – After turning left at the stop sign at Horsethief Canyon Rd, it is the 4th driveway on the right. Please park on the dirt by the arena itself.
