Closing Day Paint/Sculpt-Out at the Hilbert Museum
Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
FreeTo mark the closing of the 110th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, a Paint/Sculpt-Out will be presented in Old Towne Orange, near the Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University, allowing art enthusiasts to watch CAC artists create new works of vignettes inspired by the 1940s.
Models in period attire will pose as a couple departing for a journey by train against the backdrop of the vintage architecture of the historic 1938 Mission Revival Santa Fe train station and Old Town Orange, as well as a high-fashion model ready for a photo shoot next to a 1946 Packard Clipper.
There will be kid’s art opportunities with art stations set-up and a kid’s gallery for our budding young artists to show us their stuff. It’s free so, bring the whole family!
The Hilbert Museum is located in Old Towne, which encompasses the largest Nationally Registered Historic District in California. This charming downtown area is dotted with antique shops, art galleries, historic buildings, restaurants and more!
It will be the last day to view the 110th Gold Medal in person! You don’t want to miss the spectacular exhibition while you can!
Attention CAC Artists! We Need You Here!
