Frank Leslie Sandford
(1891 – 1977)
Painter, designer. Born in Oakland, CA on October 27, 1891. Sandford settled in Los Angeles in 1918. He was a pupil there of J. Francis Smith and Frank T. Chamberlin. He designed and painted scenery for stage productions and worked as a scenic artist for MGM Studios before his death in Los Angeles on October 12, 1977.
