About CAAM:
The California Art Academy and Museum (CAAM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a subsidiary of the California Art Club. CAAM is dedicated to teaching and exhibiting traditional fine art, specifically historic and contemporary traditional art and California plein air painting. CAAM promises to become the enduring focal point of this aesthetic within the cultural landscape of the West. A few of CAAM's goals:

Establish an Art Academy of Master Artist instructors, with the following components: a full-time Institute, Workshops and Classes for children and adults, Research and Archival Library and Lecture Hall.
Establish a Museum where works by early and contemporary California artists will be exhibited alongside the paintings and sculptures of international traditional artists who helped shape their art.
Provide a permanent home for the California Art Club.

CAAM Master Artist Workshops:
Most workshops are limited to a maximum of sixteen students. A Packet of Workshop Information will be sent out to each student 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the workshop, containing Itineraries, Maps, Instructor Bios, Supply Lists, Recommended (Pasadena-area) Hotels, (Pasadena-area) Restaurants and more. (Click links to view general recommended workshop information online. Each instructor may have specific info for their workshops - these will be provided to you prior to the start of the class. Most of our workshops take place in and around Pasadena; hence the hotel and restaurant recommendations will relate to that area. We can also make suggestions in these areas when the workshops take place elsewhere.)

To reserve a space in a workshop, a 50% deposit of the fee is required. Generally, 5-day workshops are $575 (50% = $287.50), 3-day workshops are $350 (50% = $175.00) and 1-day workshops $100-125. This is just a guide, please check the individual listings. You may pay the full amount up front, or pay the remaining 50% balance due on the first day of the workshop.
