Art Guevara's portrait of Tony Forster will be on view at the Historical Society in San Juan Capistrano, as well as a series of portraits exhibited at the Library of Mission San Juan Capistrano.

Adam Reeder won first place for figurative sculpture in the Annual Spring Show at The San Fransisco Academy Of Art University.

Maggie Renner Hellmann has been nominated for the 2008/2009 Rydell Visual Arts Fellowship Award.

Shirley McWhorter Moss is currently completing a project of five life-size military figures for the town of Naperville, IL. The grouping is of five WWII veterans from Naperville that received the Silver Star award and other major awards for their service. The uniqueness of this monument is that these five veterans were from this small town of less than four thousand people, (at that time), and attended the same school together.

Lisa Mozzini-McDill is featured in a recent article in the Press Enterprise: "Works of Inland artist Lisa Mozzini-McDill have been exhibited at several places throughout Southern California recently."

Robin Purcell was awarded 3rd Place in Watercolor at the 78th Annual Statewide Exhibit of Contemporary Landscape Painters at the Santa Curz Art League; Jean Stern, Executive Director of the Irvine Museum, served as juror. She is also featured in the Local Voice Exhibit at the Bedford Gallery, juried by Phillip Linnares, Chief Curator of the Oakland Museum. Her Painting "Green Day" was published in Splash 10 in May of 2008, a biennial publication of the Best in Watercolor.

Elena Roché is one of the featured artists in the newly published Watercolor Flower Artist's Bible from Chartwell Books. Eight of Elena's floral watercolor paintings illustrate her technique and serve as examples of finished flower paintings. The book is available in most book stores and online at Amazon.

Nancy Seamons Crookston won the Master Signature Member Award of Excellence at the 17th Annual National Juried Exhibition of the Oil Painters of America.

Dorothy Shepard has received Special Recognition for each of four Chinese Brush watercolor landscapes entered in  the July online Juried Exhibition of the Upstream People Gallery. Additionally, she received the only Merit Award for Watermedia Class given by the online American Art Jury in the Spring 2008 competition.

Yvonne Steinbach has been awarded a solo showing of twelve paintings, now displayed at the John Wayne National Airport, May 28-July 30, 2008, in the non-secure arriving and departing sections of the airport. Steinbach also won "People's Choice Award" for her two paintings, "Marble Canyon," and "Twilight Of The Morning" at the Ironstone Vineyards' 11th Annual Spring Obsession Art Competition in April 2008.
