Exhibition at the California Art Club Gallery at
The Old Mill Spotlights
the Continuation of the Tradition of Still-Life Painting
with Artwork by the State's Top Representational Artists
EXHIBITION: "THE POETRY OF STILL LIFE"
The California Art Club will present a collection of still
life paintings, which continue the tradition of this classic
genre with artwork that feature both typical and atypical objects.
The featured artists in this exhibition are all Artist Members of the
Club and are among California's premier contemporary traditional
artists. They include Sunny Apinchapong-Yang, Ron Chesley,
Esther Engelman, Millie Greene, Jacqueline Kamin, Glenna
Kurz, Gunila Marlis, Douglas Paul Morgan, and Leonore Rae Smith.

Impressionists or plein air painters, is recognized as one
of the oldest, largest and most active leading professional art
organizations in the world. The mission of the Club, which is headquartered
in Pasadena, Calif., is to promote traditional fine arts in

and promote art exhibits that foster understanding and interpretation
of traditional art heritage and California history; and to furnish educational
