Edward Emile Chiapella
(1879 – 1951)
Painter. Born in New Orleans, LA on August 17, 1879. Chiapella settled in Los Angeles in 1891. He was active in the local art scene from the 1920’s. He studied at the Otis Art Institute and with Hanson Puthuff, Paul Lauritz, Edgar Payne, and Warshawsky. He died in Los Angeles on January 14, 1951.
